		The Department of Computer Sc & Engineering, was est-ablished in 1980 under the able leadership of
	Professor Arun Kr. Choudhury. The whole computing arena of the University of Calcutta is built on the foundation laid by Professor Arun Kumar Choudhury in the late eightees.

Prof. Dr. Sajal Das Prof. Dr. Sajal Das visited the Department in the two successive years 2008 and 2009 in the Annual Get Together. He was one of the leading speakers of the National Seminar organized by Calcutta University.
